Maxime Légaré-Vézina Wins Canadian Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2025
We’re thrilled to share the exciting news that Maxime Légaré-Vézina has been named Canadian Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2025 by Canadian Geographic. This prestigious honour recognizes not only Maxime’s extraordinary talent behind the lens but also his deep respect for the natural world—a value we hold close to our hearts.
Hailing from Quebec City, Maxime has spent over a decade immersed in nature, patiently waiting for the perfect moment, the rare encounter, or the subtle play of light that brings wildlife to life through his images. His dedication to understanding animal behavior and his unwavering respect for wild habitats have helped him capture some of the most intimate and breathtaking scenes of wildlife imaginable.
This year, his work stood out among hundreds of submissions to Canadian Geographic’s annual competition, impressing a panel of respected wildlife photographers and editors. As part of his award, Maxime begins a two-year term as the Audain Emerging Photographer-in-Residence, during which he’ll shoot on assignment across British Columbia and participate in events promoting conservation and visual storytelling.
What makes this recognition even more special for us is that two of Maxime’s stunning wildlife images are featured on our packaging—a gift we’re incredibly fortunate to have received thanks to his generosity. His photography not only elevates the look and feel of our product, but it also reminds us of the wild beauty we’re working to protect.
Congratulations Maxime!
